Well, maybe you have seen this video somwhere in your timeline or somewhere else but it still is worth a post here. Wikidrummer is actually an online French website … for drummers! Drummer Julien Audigier plays his drums at a factory, on a wind farm, and in many other unusual locations, resulting in widely varying acoustics throughout the video.
Why is this such a cool video? Well, by playing the drums in such different places it is like we almost can watch the acoustics ‘analog‘, like when we are playing around in our studio when trying out a ‘digital‘ reverb plugin. We all go through the presets when we are testing out a new plugin. However with this video we see and hear that these presets often come very close… Just watch the video!
