Allen & Heath has unveiled the Xone:DB2, the latest model in its Xone:DB digital mixer range. The DB2 is a fully digital, state-of-the-art DJ mixer, incorporating two powerful multi-FX engines, and retaining all the essential elements of the flagship Xone:DB4 but at a price point that places it at the forefront of the highly competitive effects mixer market.

Allen & Heath has introduced the Xone:K2, a MIDI controller and audio interface with a 4-channel internal soundcard, configurable MIDI surface with tri-colour LED illumination, USB bus power, and incorporating A&H’s proprietary X:LINK to connect with other Xone equipment.
We were just thinking how quiet it was at the gear front. And then there’s suddenly this video teaser by Allen & Heath. The video itself doesn’t name names but we trust our friend Skratchworx as he is quite the inside man when it comes to DJ gear. According to him A&H will introduce the DB4s little brother the Xone:DB2 at the coming BPM trade show in the UK. As a well done teaser should be, not much is given away by Allen & Heath, but … there’s no denying the DB2 will look just awesome! And if we can rely on the quality of the Xone:DB4, performance will be as good too. This DJ ‘gem’ will be introduced on the first of october so till then… enjoy the video!

The Allen & Heath Xone:DB4 can de considered as one of the most elaborate DJ mixers/controllers of the moment. It has tons of functions like a 3 band EQ and a 3 band Filter, an effect processor for each channel, a built-in audio interface, and so much more. To me, personally, it is a mixer of ‘the next level’. To mention just a little detail, the Xone:DB4 comes with its own HQ carrier-bag. Little details like this tells you this is more then just a mixer.
