PreSonus releases Universal Control and 64-bit FireStudio Drivers

PreSonus is delighted to announce that we have released our new Universal Control version 1.11 software. The installer for this release includes three major components. The first component consists of new 32- and 64-bit drivers for all PreSonus FireStudio-series audio interfaces and the StudioLive 16.4.2 digital mixer. With the new drivers installed, these interfaces now work correctly under 64-bit Windows XP and Vista and will support 64-bit operation in Mac OS X 10.5 and later.

SmartAV Tango and Pyramix

Smart AV have been working closely with Merging Technologies in Switzerland to integrate Pyramix with Smart Consoles for more than 5 years. The great support they have received from Merging combined with the sophistication of their Oasis interface protocol has facilitated a particularly tight integration between Pyramix and all Smart Consoles. The integration with the latest Smart Console, Tango, was launched in December last year. Thanks to Chris Goodes of Soundfirm in Melbourne a video demonstrating the Tango/Pyramix integration is available.

Allen and Heath Extends iLive Interface Capabilities

RAB2 is a remote audio card, enabling iLive digital mixing systems to work with a variety of common audio interface and networking standards. The new module has two front-loading, easy fit slots for plug-in options, which are auto-detected by the system firmware. The first port allows alternative standards to connect the iLive MixRacks and Control Surfaces, while the second port is used for system expansion, such as linking to secondary FOH/monitors consoles, feeding broadcast mixers, and record sends.
