Denon DJ has made free firmware updates available for its DN-S3700 and DN-S1200 digital media turntables that upgrade performance with a Hybrid MIDI mode. As mentioned in the review the drumXchanger comes with 4 drumkits, wich all have got one bassdrum, one snaredrum and 4 tomtoms. 4 drumkits doens’t sound like it is much, but with the transient designer and the button ‘RIM‘, you can make allmost every possible drum sound. If this still isn’t enough, you can also add sounds in the editor. In the video we’ll demonstrate how to create different sounding Bassdrums, Snares and TomToms.
The guys at Audio Damage are busy with the final stages of development on their latest product, which will a be an additive polysynth callled Phosphor. As usual they keep teasing us with little to nothing details. Apart from a screenshot and a few audio demos we’ll have to wait some more…

It is, in fact, a powerful tool to optimize drum tracks’. The drumXchanger has got two Transient Designers and a unique way of drum detection.
What do you get when you are a product designer and electronic musician? Well … meet Yuri Suzuki! A japanese born designer living in London who makes electronic music as a side gig. Or is it the other way? Anyway, one of his latest projects is the Urushi Musical Interface. It is a touch panel style musical interface which uses principle of gold inlay. Watching the video makes me think it takes a lot of effort to understand the workings behind it and get a decent performance out of it. On the other hand … it just looks stunning!
