This product comes from a simple observation: in stores, it may not always be possible to find the title you want. Dealers may have one instrument in stock, but not all products by the company. Beatstation uses a flexible and skinnable open playing surface. It handles custom samples, midi grooves and .rex files. Apart from the video on their website there still isn’t much information but it looks like it is a VSTi that can be whatever you want it be. Although it is firmly planted in the Toontrack legacy of designing the best percussive virtual instruments Beatstation marks a departure for Toontrack, introducing melodic instruments, REX support, and recording capabilities making it the ultimate open surface sampler for sound designers, producers, musicians and songwriters alike.
