MOTU BPM 1.04 is now available

BPM version 1.04 is now available as a free, downloadable update for all registered BPM users. Version 1.04 includes optimizations and enhancements, plus significant new features introduced in versions 1.02 and 1.01, including new Step Sequencer shortcuts and abilities, MIDI beat clock sync, MIDI modulation, expanded Metronome controls, One Shot pads, slice creation in audio files that don’t yet have slices, and the ability to load sliced loops onto pad banks. New Steinberg knowledge base up and running

Steinberg is pleased to announce that the new multilingual Knowledge Base is now available to all registered MySteinberg users. Providing answers to frequently asked questions, effective problem-solving tips and other really useful information, the Knowledge Base currently contains all articles in English and German. Spanish, French, Italian and Dutch articles will be added over time to offer the information you’re looking for in your own language.

Indaba Music Console launched

Indaba Music JavaFX-powered digital audio workstation has been launched today. The functionality of the DAW allows people, for the first time, to record high-quality uncompressed audio directly to their browser and work both on and offline. The console features advanced web-based mixing and editing tools, real-time effects, and loops – elements that are critical to musicians and that they have paid a pretty penny for in the past. Indaba will also be unveiling a new homepage, community, sessions and studio pages as well as new three new memberships tiers (previously broken down in 2 categories): Basic (free), Pro ($5/month), and Platinum ($25/month).

Ok, it is not really a coffee table, it just looks like one! No, it is the Microsoft Surface controller/display/thingy. VectorForm, a Microsoft Surface Partner have developed a fun DJ tool for the novice on Microsoft Surface. Vectorforms DJ application started simple, and grew from there. King Of Pop Dies at the age of 50

Legendary music icon Michael Jackson dies after reports of possible heart attack.

The Los Angeles Times, citing city and law enforcement officials, reported late this afternoon that the singer was dead after being rushed to UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles around 3:30 p.m. Eastern time.

Such a sad loss, especially for his family and for all musicians he inspired with his great music!
