Native Instruments MASCHINE gets new Sound Expansions

Native Instruments has just introduced its new series of MASCHINE Expansions, affordable high-quality download libraries for its acclaimed groove production system. All expansions provide new drum kits and instruments as well as pre-programmed patterns created by expert sound designers and producers, and feature a distinctive take on a contemporary sound aesthetic or musical style. The series debuts with VINTAGE HEAT and TRANSISTOR PUNCH, created by Goldbaby and Surround SFX.

Native Instruments Maschine 1.6. update now available

Native Instruments today released MASCHINE 1.6, a major free update for its acclaimed groove production studio. With the addition of plug-in hosting for instruments and effects, the new version significantly expands the scope and functionality of the system. MASCHINE 1.6 also includes a free download of the new KOMPLETE ELEMENTS  bundle, and adds a multitude of other new features for studio production and live performance.

Native Instruments Maschine 1.6 public beta available

The public beta test for the upcoming Maschine 1.6 update has started. If you are a Maschine owner, you can download a fully functional 1.6 beta version, and submit eventual bug findings to the Maschine team over a special “bug tracker” web page. The public beta version has already been tested extensively by our internal testing team, but for general reasons it should still be used with caution in performance-critical environments.

Past november NI announced they were working on the Maschine 1.6 update with the most important change, the new feature of hosting VST/AU plugins. A feature that has been requested by many users from the start. So with this coming 1.6 update you will allowed to use VST and AU plugins as sound sources and effects in your Maschine project. This includes both the whole NI range of instruments and effects as well as any third-party plugin.

With more classic drum machine features, improved host integration, new sampling functions, an extended sound library, and even more efficient workflow, the 1.5 software expands on the concept of MASCHINE as the most integrated and intuitive groove production studio for producers, live musicians and DJs.
