Reliving the past with the M4000D Digital Mellotron

Watching the video below just took me back in the days instantly. Wow, just check those sounds. Like the Mellotron was never gone! This new digital Mellotron was very well received at the past NAMM 2010. It has been developed by Mellotron and is solely their own product and has nothing to do with any other manufacturer.

Some initial specifications:
– It is a 24 bit digital uncompressed audio playback unit with ca 100 Mellotron and Chamberlin sounds. Extra cartridges will be available.
– It has a custom built wood keyboard with ebony keytops.
– The front panel user inteface in the pictures and on the unit presented at NAMM is a prototype version. The screens are of high quality and are capable of showing pictures of the actual instruments. The cabinet of the production model will also be slightly lower.

Pre-orders are accepted. By pre-paying you will get a designated early serial number. Deliveries will begin in the beginning of July. Please contact markus@mellotron.com
