One of the few real new announcements at the MusikMesse was the MKII version of the AKAI APC40 Ableton Live controller. Combining deep control over Live with an enormous library of hand-selected sound content & virtual instruments, APC40 MKII puts endless creative capability at your fingertips.

In January 2014, Mixvibes introduced Cross 3, its new flagship Mac/PC software bringing major video features, frequency colored waveforms, rekordbox sync & more. Now, they introduce Cross DVS which is a convenient package letting users switch to Cross without changing hardware. Cross DVS includes 2 timecode records and a licence key to Cross. It fits in any existing setups seamlessly, since Cross works with any soundcard.

After the four models and instruments that haven been introduced last month at Dancefair, Roland is showing the fifth instrument of the AIRA Series to the public at the MusikMesse. Roland will be adding a ‘sync box‘ to the series. Looking at the picture you’ll see that there isn’t a model name yet. Just a sticker with sync box, so this is probably a proto type in the final stages as it was fully functional during the performance by Roland.

The first signs and rumours were leaked only at the end of last year. Many around us said they didn’t believe it. No way Pioneer would go ‘back in time’. However! This is what we saw just minutes ago this morning. The first presentation of Pioneer of a project they are still working on. As you can see in the right corner they haven’t even have a model name for it. There aren’t much details to tell you, besides the fact that it did have a USB connection as well, so we could assume it will be a hybrid like the Reloop RP-8000 for example. More later….
