Moog Music has announced another spine-tingling addition to the Moogerfooger line. The Bass MuRF 105B is currently in production and is expected to make its debut at Winter NAMM in January. The MuRF 105B is a new version of the original award winning MuRF that has been voiced specially for any bass instrument.
The Bass MuRF offers exciting new features such as a lowpass shelving filter on the lowest band with a cutoff frequency of 110 Hz. This means that all very low frequency content passes through the Bass MuRF’s filter section clear and strong.
The remaining seven filters are the same great-sounding resonant filters used in the original MuRF, but voiced for lower frequencies. The animation section includes some exciting new beat-oriented patterns and more great diversity of tone-mangling than is capable with the original MuRF. With no animation, the Bass MuRF offers a wealth of tone sculpting capabilities. Whether you play synth bass, bass guitar or bass saxophone, the Bass MuRF is ready to rumble.
The MF-105B will sell for $449 and will be available online and in retail locations in December.
