Kurzweil announces PC3LE6 performance controller

Kurzweil Music Systems is proud to announce that the PC3LE6, the first of the PC3LE product line, will be shipping this month. The much anticipated LE line includes the widely acclaimed sound set from the PC3, in addition to many of the PC3’s most popular features like Setup Mode, Song Mode and Quick Access Mode. The LE’s streamlined user interface has been designed to allow for a quick learning curve and unprecedented ease of use. This new, interactive U.I. provides a constant stream of useful information to players; move a controller and the LE will display the controller’s name, value and the parameter to which it’s been assigned. (Example – Knob 5: 43 Reverb Wet/Dry).

With 64 voices of polyphony, all the DSP synthesis power of the PC3 and up to 10 available insert effects, the PC3LE6 is the perfect choice for musicians seeking high-end, professional sounds and features in an affordable keyboard. No other keyboard in its price-range offers such a broad and deep selection of sounds; orchestral, string sections, vintage keys, virtual analog, B3 organs as well as drums, basses, guitars, voices and horns are all well represented in a sound set that numbers over 1050. Of course the famous Kurzweil Triple Strike Grand Piano is front and center, continuing Kurzweil’s legacy of providing the best, most realistic piano sounds in the industry.

“The combination of sounds and features is absolutely stunning, an unbelievable value…”, says Kurzweil National Sales Manager, Mike Papa. “We expect the PC3LE line to be an enormous success, as there is currently nothing else comparable on the market in its price range. Both the easy to use interface and affordable price tag should open the door for an entirely new generation of customers to experience owning a Kurzweil for the first time”

The PC3LE line also features USB thumb-drive storage, 16 independent arpeggiators, 16 simultaneous Riffs, 8 backlit impact-sensitive drum pads and high quality 24-bit D/A converters. The 61-note PC3LE6 will be followed shortly by the release of the 76 and 88-note versions, the PC3LE7 and PC3LE8.
