Korg KAOSSILATOR Pro – Video

D16 Group announce the release of a new FX plugin. Syntorus is a double path analog chorus plugin. There are many different chorus effect plugins available on the market today. However, finding one which gives the classic analogue chorus sound is easier said than done. This second maintenance release includes several highly-requested program enhancements and optimizations, including the new QuickScribe features, keyboard shortcuts, and count-off click options first introduced in 7.01. McDSP 2010 news
McDSP showed Audio Unit (AU) versions of some of its product line at the 2010 Winter NAMM Show. McDSP plans to ship updated versions of its entire product line by May of 2010 with TDM, RTAS and AU support. These updated versions will also include new features and improved performance on Leopard and Snow Leopard.
For greater savings, purchase any plug-in or bundle from now until May 2010 for up to 30% off! Once AU support is shipping, all products and bundles will be sold at regular pricing. Existing customers can upgrade each McDSP plug-in (HD or Native) to include AU support for an introductory price of $29 per plug-in. Upgrade pricing will increase to $49 per plug-in shortly thereafter. Existing Emerald Pack 4 HD or Native owners may upgrade the complete bundle for a limited time for only $249. McDSP will continue to offer two main product lines – HD and Native. The HD versions of McDSP plug-ins will support TDM, RTAS, and AU formats. 112dB releases Redline Preamp
112dB announces that Redline Preamp, a vintage preamp emulation, is now available in native RTAS/AS/VST/AU format for Windows and Mac OS X at the introductory price of €88/$99.
Redline Preamp livens up any digital or “too clean” signal. At its heart lies a fexible algorithm that is capable of emulating most kinds of harmonic distortion typical for analogue, tape, and tube equipment. While it has not been modeled after any particular piece of gear it can do a wide range of convincing analogue emulations. New Drum instrument from ImageLine coming soon
Not yet offically announced but the signs are there that ImageLine is about to release Drumatrix percussion modelling instrument. It will give you total control over 10 physically modelled drums that can be routed to independent outputs for external effects processing.

Jomox MBrane – NAMM 2010 – Video
Juergen Michaelis demoing his new Jomox MBrane II modeling synth at the BCM NAMM booth. The MBrane II is a small analog synth optimized for percussive snare drum and cowbell-like sounds with a wide range of sound characteristics.
Juergen’s new design makes it possible to produce very authentic membrane-like sounds from 2 analog T-Bridge oscillators by means of coupling and dampening. A versatile noise generator with white noise, metal noise and envelope control allows you to created snare drums, rim shots, cow bells and bongos.
Ableton Suite 8 – A Gearjunkies Review
Ableton Live, from a simple sequencer to a serious Digital Audio Workstation. Ableton Live 8 Suite, also known as the XL version, is the version of Live that comes with a huge amount of instruments and library of sounds. About no less then 1600 sounds divided among ten instruments. The GUI (graphic user interface) stands out against the GUI’s of the other well known DAW’s by its simplicity. Which in fact works easier and better.
