Novation releases v3.3 of Automap shareware
Novation has announced the immediate release of Automap v3.3, the mapping software that enables the company’s MIDI control surfaces to smoothly integrate with digital audio workstations (DAWs). The new version 3.3 revision takes advantage of Apple’s Logic 9 integration, enabling Novation hardware to control Logic’s native plug-ins and software instruments. Pro tools native plug-ins are also fully supported. In addition, Automap v3.3 is also the first DAW software to fully support the new Novation Launchpad controller.

Native Instruments today introduced SCARBEE PRE-BASS Amped and MM-BASS. PRE-BASS Amped is an additional version of the PRE-BASS software instrument that provides a meticulous, highly musical rendition of the iconic Fender Precision bass, recorded through a selection of distinctive amplifiers. PRE-BASS Amped is derived from the acclaimed Scarbee Blue Bass library, and offers production-ready bass tones for a variety of styles and genres. MM-BASS, a new software instrument that provides an authentic rendition of the distinctive Musicman Sterling electric bass. MM-BASS is based on the acclaimed Scarbee Black Bass library, and is the latest release in the partnership between Native Instruments and sampling expert Thomas Hansen Skarbye.
