Novation is a brand every producer, from bedroom to mastering studio, has heard of or used equipment from. They make absolute outstanding synthesizers, both as hardware or software solutions. Recently they released a few new hardware machines, like the Bass station II, which we reviewed earlier. Novation also released the Mininova synthesizer. A synth that grabbed our interest and we were happy to take a closer look at. Novation Mininova, is it mini or is it big?

M-Audio introduces eightchannel USB audio interface – M-Track Eight

Adding to the M-Track interface line, which includes MTrack, M-Track Plus, and M-Track Quad, M-Audio has now announced M-Track Eight, an eightchannel, 24-bit USB audio interface designed for expanded recording capabilities with an ultralow-noise signal path, 112 dB signal-to-noise ratio, and zero-latency monitoring. M-Track Eight will include Avid® Pro Tools Express with an iLok® USB key.

Last week it seemed that the whole (gear) world got excited by the news that Roland would re-issue the classis TR-808 drum machine. For many of is this could be the sign that Roland would follow on the steps of KORG in reviving the true ‘analogue’ sound.
