Last april we met the people of sE Electronics at the MusikMesse where they showed us their new Egg monitoring system. Oddly shaped but most intriguing and definitely interesting sounding. A few weeks ago we got an invite to the sE Electronics HQ in the UK to learn more about the company and also the soon to be released Egg Monitors.

Recently I had the opportunity to review the Numark iDJ3. After that I was able to hook up the Numark Mixdeck and have a closer look at this DJ console. It wouldn’t be fair to call the Numark mixdeck the iDJ3s ‘big brother‘, because the Mixdeck has much more to offer then just being a big brother. Just take the CD players, the analogue mixer, the connections for mass storage devices together with the touch sensitive jogwheels, the 3 bands EQ, many more INs and OUTs for use in clubs or a drive-in. This whole package makes the Mixdeck much more then just a ‘big brother’!

Recently we posted our review of the Pioneer DDJ-T1 DJ Controller. Where the DDJ-T1 is a Traktor dedicated controller the DDJ-S1 is dedicated to Seratos Itch DJ software. The video below is the (official) introductory video by Pioneer themselves.
djDecks has finally reached v1.00. This release is based on the djDecks DX version that has been in beta for quite a while now, so this means that it will also play video and karaoke, allow video effects, text overlays and picture slide shows. Besides that, the browser, playlist, autoplay and search features have been improved, the audio engine is more flexible (allowing you to mix multiple asio/directsound/wasapi devices) and controller support has been improved too (besides midi, HID and OSC are now also supported).
We got a heads-up from the Dutch importer that in august a white version of the DN-HP500S headphones will be available.
