Spectrasonics updated for Apple Tiger

Spectrasonics has released new Audio Units (AU) updates of their virtual instrument plug-ins Trilogy, Atmosphere and Classic Stylus. The AU updates add compatibility for Apples new Macintosh OS X version 10.4, code named Tiger, as well as AU Validation for Apple Logic 7, sample rate and tuning fixes and all known MOTU Digital Performer 4.52 and higher issues including a muting problem and lost presets when bouncing mixes to disk.

All current AU, VST and RTAS versions of Stylus RMX are Tiger compatible and do not need updating at this time. The current VST and RTAS versions Atmosphere, Trilogy and Classic Stylus do not need updating for OS X 10.4 Tiger compatibility.

Recently Kjaerhus Audio has updated three of their plugins. The GEQ-7 has been updated with a few bug fixes, the GMO-1 has been updated. This update includes a low-cut filter to make the fat dark chorus sounds found in some of the old analog choruses. And the GAC-1 has been updated with five fixes and a new routing in the mono version.

Boss updates there BR wave converter to 2.0

Owners of BOSSs popular BR-900CD, BR-864, and BR-532 digital studios can enhance computer data-exchange capability with the new BR Wave Converter 2.0 software.

The upgraded utility extracts data recorded on the BR and converts it to industry-standard WAV/AIF format for export to computers or other WAV/AIF-compatible devices. Conversely, the Converter allows WAV/AIF files to be imported into BR-900CD/864/532 tracks.

The new Converter accommodates multiple batch files, and also allows users to specify stereo and mono tracks. Previous versions of the Converter were for Windows and Mac OS9; Version 2 expands compatibility to include Win Me, XP Home, XP Professional, 2000 Professional, and Mac OS X.
