Pioneer launches new Remix Station 500 Effect Controller
Pioneer DJ is giving DJs and producers the most easy-to-use multi-effects unit yet: the engaging REMIX STATION 500 (RMX-500). The lightweight effector takes some of the best features from the top-flight RMX-1000, but gains a more simplified layout, on-board customisation, and ingenious one-handed control of multiple parameters.
New Serato Controller from Pioneer – DDJ-SZ
The DDJ-SZ is the first Pioneer controller to closely match the CDJ-2000NXS set-up for the most intuitive, physical scratch performances yet. Features include the jog wheels inherited from the CDJ-2000NXS, illuminated digital stickers, large Performance Pads with customizable multi-colored Hot Cue LEDs, and two USB soundcards for ultra-smooth DJ handovers.
Soundcraft Vi Version 4.8 Software for Vi Consoles Available
This week Soundcraft announced the launch of its Vi Version 4.8 software—a substantial new update for Soundcraft Vi2, 4 and 6 consoles. Version 4.8 software contains a number of significant new features, with stage monitor applications in particular set to benefit most from the update. Vi1 users also benefit from some of the new features, using the same update file, downloadable free of charge from the Soundcraft website. Some of the new features may require the purchase of additional DSP cards for Vi2, 4 and 6 consoles.
Eventide announces H9 Core stompbox
Eventide unveiled the newest addition to the acclaimed H9 stompbox line: H9 Core. Available now, the H9 Core delivers the legendary sounds of Eventide’s H910 and H949 Harmonizers – the prized studio processors used on stage by such luminaries as Frank Zappa, Jimmy Page, and Eddie VanHalen.

Allen & Heath introduce Xone:23 DJ Mixer
Allen & Heath will launch the Xone:23, a 2-channel DJ mixer at NAMM 2014. The new mixer is packed with pro features that would normally be found in the booth of a top-rated club, including an enhanced version of the legendary Xone filter with resonance control, VCA faders, 3 band total kill EQ, illuminated switches, crossfader curve selector, with styling inspired by the flagship Xone:DB4.
Controller app for Steinberg Cubase available for Android now
Steinberg announced the immediate availability of the Android version of Cubase iC Pro for remote controlling the award-wining Cubase music production system via Wi-Fi.

Moog showing off Aluminium Minimoog Voyager
Well just what the title of this post says, Moog will be presenting an aluminium version of their Minimoog Voyager at the coming NAMM next week. The only thing that has been released is the picture below. Specifications or such haven’t been disclosed yet, but as it is a custom cosmetic change that won’t be the case we think.
