WANT of the century: Emulator on Token Concept
That’s right! Want Of The Century. Often you come across ‘stuff’ that looks neat or you would love to play with. But this is ten times more cool. DJ Pablo Martin pleasantly surprised us with his new project multitouch. He is using his new software Emulator on a Töken Concept table. Looking at the video you know this is just übercool!
Mixed In Key now on your iPhone
The Mixed In Key team has been busy developing new software, first of which is DJ Tempo, available on the iPhone right now. DJ Tempo does automatic BPM detection on your iPhone. Simply select the amount of time you’d like it to analyze the music – 5, 10, or 20 seconds – and touch the Analyze Tempo button. Within seconds, the BPM appears on the screen.

Serato Turtorial for Livid Block – Video
A tutorial demonstrating how to use the LIVID INSTRUMENTS “BLOCK” midi controller to control the DJ software SERATO. The video shows you how you can use only the BLOCK to control all the parameters of SERATO without having to use turntables or cdj’s. Open Labs – Another victim to the economic downfall?
This is one of those posts we rather wouldn’t have to write, but sadly we got some information that another gear company went into bankrupcy. According to the Austin, TX news paper the Statesman, on august 4 2010, all assets of Open Labs, Inc. consisting primarily of the patents, trademarks, copyrights, and other IP associated with the most Open Labs products will be sold at a public foreclosure sale.
HGFortune releases Avatar ST VSTi Synthesizer
Avatar ST is featuring a new generation of HG Fortune synths. Basically it is most suited for a large variety of pads, soundscapes, athmospheres or related FX sounds but can do other sounds like e.g. certain kinds of basses too.
