Allen & Heath Xone:DX arrives at the Gearjunkies Lab
Today was a good day! Yes, the good people from TM Audio (dutch importer) send us a shiny Xone:DX controller to play with. It is always cool to unbox ‘new gear’. That’s what we live for (… amongst other activities of course). In the coming weeks we are going to put this DX to the test and get a review going, so we can let you know what we think about this controller. Allen & Heath released this Xone:DX earlier this year. It is a new performance audio controller for electronic DJs and is the result of close design collaboration between Allen & Heath and Serato. The Xone:DX with Serato ITCH DJ software now offers 4 Virtual Decks and the latest Serato DJ FX.

New Windows 7 Drivers for All Lexicon USB Desktop Recording Interfaces
Lexicon has released new Windows 7 software drivers for Alpha, Lambda, Omega and the I∙ONIX U22, U42S, and U82S series of Desktop Recording Interfaces. Now all of the Lexicon USB Desktop Recording Interfaces operate seamlessly on any computers running 32-bit or 64-bit Windows 7, Vista, or XP. Also, these interfaces operate on all Mac computers operating on OS X 10.4.9 or higher regardless of whether they are based on PowerPC or Intel processors.

Steinberg will Tour Nuendo 5 worldwide
With the advent of releasing its new advanced post, live and audio production system, Steinberg today is pleased to announce that it is presenting Nuendo 5 at certified Nuendo dealers and well-known post-production studios in more than twelve countries, from Japan to Europe over to the United States. Nuendo 5 will also be introduced at the AES Show in London, taking place on May 22–25. The tour’s initial leg begins on May 3, 2010, and will be under way for several weeks to come.
Allen & Heath AES London preview
British mixer manufacturer, Allen & Heath, will be showcasing a selection of its products from the iLive digital series and its dedicated broadcast and recording mixers at the AES London in May 2010. A highlight will be the iDR-16 3U MixRack and iLive-R72 rackmountable control surface, which together provide a space saving, lightweight digital live mixing system, bringing the same power, sonic performance and flexibility of the larger touring iLive systems to a significantly lower price point.
GForce impOSCar2 Hardware Controller?
This ‘much-anticipated’ next version of the Imposcar softsynth is in its final development stage. According to their own website, GForce are putting their heads down once more and get on with the job of completing this instrument. So we have to wait just a few until GForce is unveiling the final version. That said, … we came across a very interesting ‘sometin’ ‘sometin’ on the internet. A GForce Imposcar2 hardware controller! Looking at the pictures, … that is a sweet controller, right? To be completely clear, the persons in the picture below are members of Underworld together with Dave Spiers from GForce. The guy playing with the controller is Darren Price of Underworld, contributor of many sounds to the (version 1) impOSCar soft synth. So there is an onvious connection between Underworld and GForce.
