Behringer announced the X32 last year as ‘The Game Changer‘. This is quite the bold statement to be honest, … and is this statement correct? Well, let us be the judge of that. Vocal processing expert TC-Helicon and audio specialist Sennheiser today unveiled their partnership in the field of vocal effects microphones. Combining their extensive expertise in creating tools for vocalists and microphone technology, the two companies have been working on joint research projects since 2011, and will launch a joint product at NAMM in January 2013.

We only post something cool if we come across something we think would be nice to see or hear. However this week we came across the video below from a band called the Shout Out Louds. 30 years ago at the 1983 Winter National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) trade show, a Roland JX-3P talked to a Sequential Circuits Prophet 600 and Musical Instrument Digital Interface (MIDI) went mainstream. The MIDI Manufacturers Association (MMA) will kick off a yearlong “MIDI Makes Music” 30th Anniversary celebration at this year’s NAMM Show, with an exhibit showcasing the past, present and future of MIDI technology and an extensive traditional and social media presence showing how famous artists and musicians everywhere use MIDI to create and produce music.
Teenage Engineering have recently introduced the OD-11 cloud speaker. It is a re-designed, re-developed new version of the Carlsson OD-11 which was introduced in the mid 70s and became a very popular speaker for Hi-Fi systems. Teenage Engineering worked closely with the Carlsson Foundation for this new version.
