Korg announces the availability of OS 2.1 for its flagship KronosX Music Workstation and the original Kronos. It adds several new features as well as improvements to the CX-3 organ modeling engine.

This new littleBits Synth Kit is designed to allow users to create brand new sounds and build their own electronic instruments, the new Synth Kits will be shipping the first week of December and available at littleBits.com and select specialty retailers for $159.

Feeling lucky, punk? Well yes you should as dirty harry is being released as free ware now by de la Mancha. Dirty Harry used to be a payware VST synth, but since de la Mancha stopped selling any plugins at all, they will release it for free. Enjoy it in all its dirty, gritty, lofi glory!

Another little DIY modular synth en processing system kit. With this you could create your own modular synthesiser by programming Patchblocks with their software editor. Linplug Spectral coming soon now
Linplug‘s first Synth was released March 2000 and once again they now approach a release. The Spectral contains all of their experience from almost 14 years of synthesizer programming. Its not perfect, because the perfect synthesizer will never exist, but they emphasized once again a clear user interface, well sorted and a powerful engine under the hood.
Something For The Weekend: UKF On The Road with I Am Legion
Today a bit of a personal Something For The Weekend post. Last year the ‘I Am Legion‘ project emmerged onto our ‘music’ radar. It is a collaboration between a band we really like, Noisia from The Netherlands, and Foreign Beggars from the UK. This collaboration resulted in a full album and tour. The tour can still be caught in Europe and later this year in Australia.
