There is a small booth at MusikMesse where Eowave showed the Magma. This little synth is not just a cool synthesizer, but the designer has spent quite some time to listen to how users would want to use the Magma. The result is a new analog groovebox that is ready to perform on.
Veteran synthesizer designer Tom Oberheim announced a new type of synthesizer just today. This may sound as an Apple spoof but this new Tom Oberheim 2-voice is similar to the original from 1975, but with some very interesting upgrades.
The MAGMA is an analogue bassline synthesizer inspired by classical synths from the 1980s. It offers the possibility to mix 4 different waveforms (saw, square, sub, noise). The 24 dB low-pass filter is also inspired from classical filters from the 80s.

Native Instruments today released DARK PRESSURE, a new MASCHINE Expansion, created in association with the acclaimed DJ and producer Steve Lawler and sound design house Loopmasters. The pack brings the sound of tough underground dance music to MASCHINE and MASCHINE MIKRO, containing an expertly crafted selection of kicks, snares, hi-hats and percussion samples as well as a wealth of pre-produced rhythms optimized for techno, tech-house, minimal and similar genres.
