Laidback Luke on the new CDJ-2000s

PreSonus releases FaderPort firmware version 1.3.5
PreSonus has released FaderPort firmware version 1.3.5 for Mac OS X. The new firmware adds support for Apple Logic 9 and Steinberg Cubase 5 and provides Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) support for all music-production applications that were compatible with the FaderPort under Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard), including Ableton Live, Digidesign Pro Tools, and MOTU Digital Performer.

Livid introduces the Block controller

Sugar Bytes Consequence 1.1.0. released
Sugar Bytes just released the gigantic Consequence 1.1 update! It contains more than 200 new Global presets and 50 Instruments which means lots of new grooves, sounds and combinations! New features have been added for more flexibility, better sound, better handling! The Consequence 1.1 update can be downloaded from here.
New midi controller series from M-Audio
Nothing on the M-Audio website but several webshops already are placing the new midi controller keyboard series on their websites. So we can expect that M-Audio is introducing their new (upgraded) OXYGEN series pretty soon. Available with 25, 49 and 61 keys.
de la Mancha ballistic updated with 9 new kits
de la Mancha is delighted to announce that ballistic has been updated, thanks to the generosity of The Groove Criminals, who provided 9 new kits, that’s 143 new drum samples, covering 808, Vintage analogue and digital, Moog, Linn, Dance, Flanged, Glitch and Junk kits. Many, many thanks to Oli for donating his hard work and excellent sounds.

TASCAM introduces Track Pack Bundles for Beginners
TASCAM has created the Track Pack X1 and Track Pack X2 bundles for musicians looking for an inexpensive way to start recording in their computers. The Track Pack X1 contains the new US-100 USB interface, dynamic microphone and set of closed-ear headphones for under $150. The Track Pack X2 features the new US-122mkII audio interface, TM-78 large-diaphragm condenser microphone and Cubase LE4 48-track recording software for under $200.
Tascam upgrades USB Audio Interfaces
TASCAM has upgraded their best-selling audio interfaces to the US-122mkII and US-144mkII USB 2.0 Audio/MIDI Interfaces. The US-122mkII features improved audio performance along with a new, eye-catching compact design. The US-144mkII shares the design improvements, adding S/PDIF digital audio I/O for four channels of 96kHz/24-bit audio to and from a computer. Both interfaces use USB 2.0 technology for hiccup-free low-latency performance to Mac or Windows computers.

TASCAM unleashes the US-2000 audio interface
TASCAM has unleashed the US-2000, a new 16-input audio interface condensed into only one rackspace. Eight studio-grade microphone preamps welcome condenser microphones, and two of the mic inputs are on the front panel for easy access. An additional six balanced 1/4″ line inputs are provided, as well as four balanced line outs and stereo digital I/O. The front panel features a 100-LED meter bridge for setting input and output levels. The US-2000 connects to a computer through high-speed USB 2.0, and is priced about the same as less-capable 8-channel FireWire interfaces.
