The Pioneer DJM-T1 firmware update is about to take DJs even deeper into mind-blowing features of the new Traktor Scratch Duo 2 and Traktor Scratch Pro 2 DJ software. The update introduces Advanced Shift, the gateway to more advanced features with 75 new controls using a second Shift layer on the mixer, almost tripling the number of Midi controls.

The Allen & Heath Xone:DB4 can de considered as one of the most elaborate DJ mixers/controllers of the moment. It has tons of functions like a 3 band EQ and a 3 band Filter, an effect processor for each channel, a built-in audio interface, and so much more. To me, personally, it is a mixer of ‘the next level’. To mention just a little detail, the Xone:DB4 comes with its own HQ carrier-bag. Little details like this tells you this is more then just a mixer.
Thanks to Phil Morse we came across this new video of the new (little) Pioneer DJ Controller which will be presented and officially released on the 29th of september at the BPM Show. This new controller will cost ‘considerably’ less then its two ‘fathers’, the DDJ-T1 and the DDJ-S1. We heart some rumours that it would be named the DDJ-T2, but we have our doubts as the controller will be shipped with a custom skinned version of the Virtual DJ Software.

This past week Pioneer put a picture of a new DJ controller on their Facebook page. The general view or expectations were that it would be a ‘smaller’, ‘lighter’ version of their recent released DDJ-T1 / DDJ-S1 controllers. Looking at the video we can only say yes and no. The controller clearly has the Pioneer ‘LOOK’ but then again it also stand its own ground when it comes to design. Just see for yourself. Behold, … a picture of a new Pioneer DJ Controller leaked onto the internet (again). What do we know? Well nothing definitive, but we could assume that it would be a ‘light’ version of the recent released DDJ controllers. This way they would cover the bottom segment of the controller market perhaps. Looking at the Kontrol S2 announcement by Native Instruments last week, this assumption would make sense.
Mason is a DJ and Producers duo from The Netherlands. With a recently released their debut album ‘They are Among Us‘. On this album there are quite the collaborations with some big names in the industry, like Roison Murphy, Kurtis Blow, DMC, Sam Sparro, Aqualung and Sway.
