Eventide releases upgrade for H8000FW

Eventide today announced version 5.2 software for its TEC award nominated digital processor: the H8000FW. Available in October, version 5.2 is designed to give engineers and artists alike additional tools for sound creation, and adds over 100 new programs, including many from noted sound designer, composer, and remixer, Richard Devine, and broadcast and post production guru, Jay Rose.

Originally developed for TCs flagship System 6000 high definition processor, UnWrap facilitates smooth and fast stereo to 5.1 up conversion when there is no time to do a conventional 5.1 mix or multitrack source material is non existent.

NI announces GUITAR RIG 2 Software Edition

Native Instruments introduces a new member of the GUITAR LINE: The GUITAR RIG 2 Software Edition. The functionality and feature set are exactly the same as the award winning original version, making the Software Edition the ideal solution for authentic guitar tones and tracks within a studio environment. The only difference is that the hardware foot controller is not included. Both versions will integrate the new 2.2 update, due for release in a few days, which includes a number of new components as well as Intel Mac compatibility. The Software Edition will be available mid November.
