Rosegarden is a professional audio and MIDI sequencer, score editor, and general-purpose music composition and editing environment. Rosegarden v1.2.4 is now available. This is a bug-fix release that fixes several issues. It includes no new features apart from one new translation (Finnish).

URS Classic Console Strip versions for Intel Mac

URS has released the URS Classic Console Strip Universal Binary RTAS, Audio Units and VST versions for Intel Macintosh Mac Book Pro. All URS Universal Binary versions will require a minimum of Mac OSX 10.3.9. This is due to Apples Universal Binary architecture requirements. URS will release Universal Binary versions for the rest of our plug-in catalog in the weeks to come.

TC Electronic is pleased to announce the immediate availability of two new TDM reverb plug-ins ported directly from the revered System 6000. DVR2 is the most precise EMT250 emulator to date, perfect for both studio and live use. It presents fine-tuned qualities of the original processor such as sweet modulation, spectral balance, spaciousness and saturation. The Vintage Reset function produces a sound very close to a well preserved EMT250, which is still a favorite on lead vocals in studios fortunate enough to own one.

Muse Research releases UniWire

Muse Research has announced that its highly anticipated UniWire audio and MIDI networking technology for their Receptor hardware plug-in player is now shipping in their version 1.5 system software update. UniWire technology allows customers to off-load processor intensive tasks to their Receptor while retaining complete control and integration with their computer DAW program.

Ueberschall have today announced the availability of Liquid Player 1.1, the new VST Engine for their Liquid Instrument Series for Mac and PC, featuring Liquid Sax, Liquid Bass, Liquid Guitars, upcoming volumes like The Voice 1/2 and Hornsection. Liquid Player 1.1.0.7 is designed for use with VST-, Audio Units- or RTAS-compatible host applications and also able to perform as stand alone application.
