Our reporters Marc van den Hurk and Wouter Veltmaat went to the Galaxy Studio where they got a hands-on demonstration of the Focusrite Rednet audio system. Nord Keyboards have announced that an update for the iPad app Nord Beat is available now, for free. Nord Beat 2 is a 6-track CoreMIDI Step Sequencer for iPad and a perfect companion for the Nord Drum 2 Modeling Percussion Synthesizer. It can also be used with any external MIDI drum module, synth or sampler (or even other iPads app via Virtual MIDI).

These past months we saw a few pictures on the Twitter feed of Junkie XL, showing some of the work he was doing with Hans Zimmer on the soundtrack for The Man Of Steel motion picture. The images were of a drum studio set up of twelve drum kits, all facing eachother. To us that looked very interesting.
