TC Electronic adds Assimilator Konnekt Plug-In to Konnekt 24D

TC Electronic is pleased to announce that its recently introduced audio interface, Konnekt 24D, will now also include Assimilator Konnekt in addition to Fabric R reverb and Fabric C channel strip. Assimilator Konnekt is an extremely powerful equalization tool that LEARNS the frequency curve of one piece of audio so it can be applied to another audio file. Units are expected to ship in August 2006 at EUR 470 retail ex. VAT.

Tascam releases new Audio/Midi interfaces

Tascam have released two new portable USB Audio/MIDI interfaces. The US-122L is the follow up to the popular US-122 while the US-144 is more of the same but with S/PDIF digital input and output added. Both allow you to Record two tracks at a time at up to 96kHz/24-bit qualitywith zero latency and seem like they would make aideal travelling companions to a laptop.

M-Audio announced the availability of the new ProFire Lightbridge FireWire to Lightpipe audio interface. The device interfaces up to four Lightpipe devices with a PC or Mac via FireWire perfect for integrating digital mixers and/or ADATs with most popular DAW software. And M-Audio releases a new 4 x 4 USB audio interface built specifically for DJs and the included Torq DJ software, called Conective.

So what was new at the MusikMesse of this year? It must be said that this edition of the MusikMesse didn’t introduce as many new gear as the 2005 edition did. The only product that really ‘took the cake’ was undoubtedly the new Moog. For weeks and months there was the buzz on the internet what Moog would come with, … the Little Phatty. It was the last product the late and great Boob Moog worked on.

Next to the Phatty there was the new KORE from Native Instruments. Again with an extensive pre-Messe publicity coverage, the Kore got unveiled at the MusikMesse after being announced at the WinterNAMM earlier this year in Anaheim, USA.
