Novation‘s latest MIDI controller is now available worldwide! Based around a 25, 49 or 61-note keyboard with 16 velocity-sensitive multi-colour launch pads, Launchkey features the Launchkey app (an iPad performance synth) as well as a Launchpad app that provides drag-and-drop loop playback from the pads and realtime effects including stutter and filter effects. Audio Damage have released Mangleverb. A reverb plugin that does more than just … reverb! What happens when you combine a thick reverb, a filter, an envelope follower, an LFO, and a VCA? We wanted to know. The results are surprisingly useful. Mangleverb can be used as a filter, reverb, transient shaper, rhythmic gate, LPF gate, tempo-synced VCA, and any combination thereof. Alex ‘Cores’ Hayes is a producer/engineer/writer based in London. He works closely with Professor Green and was executive producer of his two albums “Alive Till I’m Dead” and “At Your Inconvenience”, which both went double gold in the UK. He also MD’s Green’s band. His involvement with Green has seen him work with the likes of Lily Allen, Example, Labrinth and Emeli Sandé. We recently visited his London studio to discuss one of his favourite pieces of kit; the Focusrite ISA 828 mic preamp.
