Something For The Weekend: I Dream of Wires: Hardcore Edition

This time we have a cool video trailer for an upcoming documentary on modular synthesizers. “I Dream of Wires” (IDOW) is an independent documentary film about the phenomenal resurgence of the modular synthesizer – exploring the passions, obsessions and dreams of people who have dedicated part of their lives to this esoteric electronic music machine. Written and directed by Robert Fantinatto, with Jason Amm (Ghostly International recording artist Solvent) serving as producer and co-writer, IDOW is set to receive it’s festival premiere, May 2013.

Try Out Steinberg Cubase 7 – Trial Version

Steinberg have announced that you can now try out the Cubase 7 advanced music production system with the free trial version available for download. Cubase 7 Trial is a 30-day trial version, available from the Steinberg website and comprises all the features available in Cubase 7, the award-winning digital audio workstation released in December 2012. It requires the USB-eLicenser dongle.

Native Instruments starts teasing new synth

Native Instruments have started teasing us with a video and sound demos of a new instrument. Of course not much information is available. The only thing we could find out is that it isn’t anything hardware. It is a software synth. Native Instruments say: One synth to rule them all.
