Moon 2 Channel Microphone Preamp Ships at AES 2012
At the San Francisco Audio Engineering Society (AES) conference, Simaudio Ltd., a Canadian audio equipment manufacturer focused on home entertainment for the past 30 years, today started shipping their new “Moon 3500MP” Microphone Preamplifier.
Dangerous Source Monitor Controller Released
At the 2012 AES Show, Dangerous Music is showing their newest monitor controller the Dangerous Source, the product is shipping and available in the US and internationally. The Source is a portable and desktop unit designed for the engineer on the go or to fit a limited space on the desktop.

Through the relase of the video below Elektron announces a new product for the 4th quarter of this year. So that means any day now (kinda). For us, Elektron is famous for not leaking any information before the official release date. And we expect that this time as well, so for now you can only listen to the new product and wait for any visual or detailed specifications information.

Brand-new feature in Mixed In Key 5.5 – Energy Levels
Yakov and Chad from Mixed In Key have informed us that an update for Mixed In Key 5.0 is on its way. Most important new feature within MIK5.5 will be the detection of ‘Energy Levels‘ in your tracks. It will show you the energy level of your tracks on a scale from 1 to 10. The value tells you how danceable that song is. House music is usually around 6-8. The biggest anthems will be 9-10. Deeper music might be 5.
Virsyn KLON 3.0 – The Vocal Designer Released
Virsyn informed us that version 3 of KLON is now available. The heart of the vocal designer plugin KLON is a harmonic pitch shifter for natural pitch and formant manipulation of vocal sounds in realtime.

Focusrite announced that the Scarlett 2i4 is now available worldwide. As the name suggests, 2i4 is a 2 in, 4 out audio interface with two of the award-winning Focusrite mic pres that are also found on the rest of the Scarlett and Saffire ranges, right up to the Liquid Saffire 56.
Denon DJ MC2000 Now Available
Word from Denon DJ is that their new MC2000 DJ controller is now available is stores right now. The MC2000 doesn’t need to be plugged into a mains power supply for you to get thrashing out tunes – it’s USB Bus powered which means if you want to show off your latest mix then you simply need to power up your laptop and plug in the MC2000 with a USB cable (supplied). Serato DJ Intro software detects the controller automatically and is ready to work from the moment you take out of the box and plug in – giving you true ‘plug & play’ functionality.
Tiny ESI UDJ6 USB audio interface is now shipping
The ESI UDJ6 is a new professional level 24-bit USB audio interface featuring 6 totally independent output channels. This tiny interface measures just 7cm in length making it ideal for digital DJs working on the road. Two stereo outputs (channels 3 to 6) are provided with RCA connectors on one side of the small and compact bus-powered interface, in its stylish aluminium case. The other side features a stereo headphone output for 1/4″ stereo connection (providing channel 1 and 2 signals).
