In the introductory video below explaining how to use Public Records, you will learn about the main areas of the Public Records website. Unsigned artists can make use of Public Records to gain exposure, get public feedback on their music, and release their music.

Audioprom – audio sequencer and live performance for iPad
Audioprom was originally called Sausage Sequencer. The idea was to build a sound sequencer that uses slices of sausages placed on the iPad as physical markers to make sounds. After the first prototype they realized that sausages, or any other food item, is sensed reliably only when touching your hand. As soon as you let go of the sausage, the iPad thinks it’s gone too.

New Years gift from Loopmasters – 500 MB Mixtools Pack
Recently Matt Pelling and his team at Loopmasters have come up with their new ‘Mix Tools‘ concept, which allows you to DJ with set parts of a track (known as stems) and splice all sorts of bits together to make live re-edits on the fly. DontStayIn got the in for a chat on this new idea, and beat 500MB of free Mix Tool samples out of them to give to our budding DSI DJs! Cool eh?

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
Well here we are then. Almost at the end of another year. 2010 will go into history as a pretty darn good year for us. After years and years talking about a new layout we finally raised the glove and went to battle. After feeling, yelling, discussing, thinking, designing, coding and testing we got it right (we think).
Gorillaz record complete album on iPad – And it is FREE!
Yes it is completely free! During their North American Tour this past autumn, Gorillaz recorded a musical diary. The result is a collection of 15 tracks, some with vocals, some without, some combined performances and some solo.
