Drum ‘N’ Bass Star BLAME Scores with XLogic X-DESK
As a 17-year old, Blame’s first production was the legendary drum ‘n’ bass hit Music Takes You, and he hasn’t looked back since. He’s since mixed one of Moving Shadow’s famous Logical Progression albums, remixed bands including UB40 and The Jackson 5 and toured the world with LTJ Bukem.
Synth-Project impOSCar2 Controller in action – Video
After the build of the Desktop Version, Mario Jurisch wanted to have his own impOSCar Controller. Instead of a second desktop controller he decided to go for a keyboard version. Trying to emulate the looks and feel of the original hardware synth. His goal was to create a modern OSCar with the features of the new impOSCar2 Software Synth from GForce. And talking about the impOscar2 VSTi, allthough we haven’t heart much about it, it is still in development and being tested as we speak. However a release date still hasn’t been set.
A Special Moog for Down Under!
It seems Moog had another new synth up their sleeve, but we all missed it as it was unveiled in august already. Ok, it is maybe not a new synth but still, visually it looks damn sweet (even if I say so myself!). Sadly this special edition Little Phatty (of which only 200 are made) is only available to our friends Down Under.
Tonelux announces the 1628 Analog Mixing Board
Look, here is something we CAN show you! Tonelux released a picture of their soon to be released 1628 Mixing Board. The 1628 will have 16 Channels of the famous Tonelux Mic Pres. The EQs and Summing are arranged into a plug and play console format, ready to use, including a professional 192 point patchbay. Tonelux claims that the only option they don’t offer is “NO“.

Something for the Weekend: DJ Ruthless scratching with cassettes
Ok when you think you have seen it all… this comes along.Yes I know I wrote this exact same line before, but come on! Bare with me, after the Mind Control Synthesizer. We now have a video of DJ Ruthless Ramsey doing a live mix session scratching with good-old cassette tapes. In a world were DJ’s already are leaving CD’s behind and going to work with a couple of SD Flash drives, this guy makes his magic with cassettes! Even though this video has been recorded in 2007…
Avid Mbox 3 expected to be released next week…
As the internet was flooded with rumours on the arrival on a new Mbox from AVID last week, there were still no pictures to be found. But, … the pictures below just came in. Apparently AVID didn’t succeed in keeping them under wraps untill the official release. Like with the Mbox2 there will be two Mbox 3 versions. First the regular and a ‘lighter‘ Mbox 3 Mini version. We don’t have any new specifications for both versions. It is to be expected that there will be no Mbox Pro version. Rumours are that it will be replaced by a totally new product expected at Winter NAMM 2011.
