Audio Damage announces Automaton

Automaton is a unique look at buffer effects, allowing you to experiment with artificial life within your DAW. With four separate effects (Stutter, Modulate, Bitcrush, and Replicate) driven by a cellular automata sequencer, Automaton is capable of adding subtle seemingly random fills and “humanizing” effects, but if you like, you can crank the sequencer up to eleven, and watch as your DAW becomes a petri dish while Automaton makes complete hay of the track you’ve inserted it to.

Behringer announces Eurodesk line update with new SX series

Behringer updates its Eurodesk line of mixers with the new SX series of recording and live sound consoles. First to arrive are the SX2442FX twenty-four channel and SX3242FX thirty-two channel mixers. Blue Cat Audio updates Stereo Phaser plugin

Blue Cat Audio is happy to release a new version of the Stereo Phaser plugin. It now includes Undo/Redo, a new toolbar and presets import/exports capabilities. Free Operator from Ableton … well almost

Ableton will be running an interesting sales campaign in the fall of 2008. Effectively, customers who buy Ableton Live during the course of the campaign get Operator, Ableton’s acclaimed FM synthesizer, for free. The offer applies to sales of Ableton Live 7, Live 7 LE

SmartAV announce Tango Bay extensions

Available in September 2008 is a 12 fader extension bay for Tango. This can be placed to either side of the main Tango console and comes with a 22″ touch screen like the main Tango unit. The second touch screen can serve as an extension to the main Tango touch screen or as required be switched to show other screens such as the workstation display, the virtual editor, or querty keyboard.
