Steinberg Media Technologies GmbH announces a new upgrade program for Cubase LE, a new e-store for US upgrades, and special upgrade incentives for Yamaha customers. The new programs are part of a push by new parent company, Yamaha Corporation to enhance the user experience and simplify software and hardware integration.

Dash Signature has announced SWOOSH Machine and released several free updates for EVE owners. By the first week of July, Dash Signature plans to release SWOOSH Machine, a VST DashSound Player like EVE and EVE ONE, but with a dedicated 1 GB library including a wide range of natural and synthesized audio effects – it will be sold bundled with a default 250 MB sample set for US$75, three further expansion packs (250 MB each) will be available for US$29.90 each.

Digitalmusician.net will launch as a free service in August 2005 with a standard account that will offer full access to the digitalmusician.net (DMN) community web site and free use of the Digital Musician Link VST plug-in for real time audio and MIDI recording via internet with audio transmission rates that are equivalent to 128/bit mp3 compression.

Stanton is now shipping the C.504 and C.503 dual CD players

The new C.504 is Stantons flagship dual CD player. It consists of a two-space CD player and a compact 3U rackmount controller with large jogwheels that provide turntable-style control. A newly-designed, highly reliable anti-shock buffer on the C.504 eliminates embarrassing CD skips. The C.504 plays back both standard CDs and MP3 encoded discs (on CD-R or CD-RW format), with the ability to pitch bend and change tempo while using effects. The CD players myriad of features includes seamless looping, reverse playback, and 10 seconds of sampling per deck.

KORG offers virtual OASYS Interface

Korg USA and Karma Lab have posted a Flash-based OASYS Virtual GUI, an online demo that allows users to explore a virtual replica of the graphic user interface of the Korg OASYS Open Architecture Synthesis Studio. This full-blown simulator provides an interactive, in-depth tour of the OASYS interface in a way that gives a true feel for the logic, layout and capabilities of OASYS. It was co-developed by Karma developer Stephen Kay and avid OASYS enthusiast Bob VanDamme, in partnership with KORG USA.
