New Turntable Cartridges from Reloop and Ortofon
For the first time Reloop presented 5 new cartridge systems at the past BPM Show in Birmingham. These new Reloop systems were designed and produced in Denmark in close cooperation with the world’s leading cartridge and stylus manufacturer Ortofon. The cartridges are now available worldwide.

Novation Bass Station II – Gearjunkies Review
The new Bass station II is the successor of the well respected Bass Station that came to light 21 years ago. I still remember the original Bass Station as a good sounding analog synthesizer, and a brilliant small midi controller that had its twerps with the pots but made up for its characteristic sound. During the renaissance of the analog synthesizer we have seen a lot of reissues but also some new designs with innovations that simply weren’t possible a few decades ago. The Bass station II is one of these. It still has the hands on approach you’d like to see with programming a synthesizer and added functionality for further tweaking with use of a function switch.

U-he Diva Synthesiser – Gearjunkies Review
U-HE DIVA – which stands for (Dinosaur Impersonating Virtual Analogue Synthesizer) has been out for a while now and its latest incarnation is version 1.3. This update brings you the new digital osc which faithfully recreates a famous synth that was introduced at the end of the 90s. Famous for the classic ‘so called’ Super Saws. Also theres a new UHBIE filter this is an emulation of the OB-X/SEM filter and an arpeggiator.
Free update for Novation Launchpad app for iPad Available
Novation is pleased to announce a free update to its hugely popular Launchpad app for iPad, introducing the ability to record performances and share them via Dropbox, Soundcloud, and email. In addition, improvements to the Audio Import upgrade allow users to categorise their sounds and create individual libraries.
Ableton Push and Playing Hardware Instruments – Video
If you’ve been following things around here lately, you’ll already know about the Push instrument and its unique interface for playing melodies & beats and triggering clips. If you’re using hardware instruments, Push can also be a complementary performance and controller interface. Play scales according to Push’s scale mode, tap out drums on Push’s velocity-sensitive pads or go in deeper to tweak parameters straight from Push’s touch-sensitive knobs.
