Steinberg ends support for VST2 interface
Steinberg announced that they would no longer continue to develop and maintain the VST 2 software interface but focus efforts entirely on the Software Development Kit (SDK) development of VST 3. All Steinberg host applications will remain VST 2 compatible.

U-he Satin Tape Machine coming very soon
Urs Heckman has announced that coming september 9th, his anticipated new Tape Delay plugin Satin will be released. This tape effects plugin will be available for Mac OSX and Windows PC, with 64-bit support for both platforms. VST, VST3 and AU versions are included. The version for Pro Tools 11 (AAX support) is still in development.

Electro-Harmonix introduce East River Drive pedal
Expanding its range of overdrive, fuzz and distortion pedals that began with the iconic LPB-1 Linear Power Booster and Big Muff Pi, Electro-Harmonix now introduces its first pedal designed around a JRC4558 integrated circuit: the East River Drive. Those in the know about New York City and the NYC-based EHX will recognize that the pedal was named after the river which separates the boroughs of Manhattan and Queens and the eponymously named “Drive” that enables New Yorkers to motor along it.
