New Years gift from Loopmasters – 500 MB Mixtools Pack
Recently Matt Pelling and his team at Loopmasters have come up with their new ‘Mix Tools‘ concept, which allows you to DJ with set parts of a track (known as stems) and splice all sorts of bits together to make live re-edits on the fly. DontStayIn got the in for a chat on this new idea, and beat 500MB of free Mix Tool samples out of them to give to our budding DSI DJs! Cool eh?
Korg will unveil new synth at NAMM 2011

Sonic Charge is the first in 2011 to release something new! Well, it is an update for their uTonic drum software, Sonic Charge µTonic version 3.0. The first major upgrade to their flagship drum machine in over five years. And what an upgrade it is. Sporting over 20 new features and a brand new look, µTonic is as good as new again.

We’ll have to wait a little bit longer but the new polysynth ‘Phosphor‘ from Audio Damage is almost ready. Just a few more weeks till release, the UI is one thing that’s finalised already. And it’s looking good!

Well here we are then. Almost at the end of another year. 2010 will go into history as a pretty darn good year for us. After years and years talking about a new layout we finally raised the glove and went to battle. After feeling, yelling, discussing, thinking, designing, coding and testing we got it right (we think).

We’ll have to wait untill New Year’s Eve (23:59 pm) for the guys of Sonic Charge to unveil the newest version/upgrade of µTonic in over five years. Just before th weekend however they revealed some more details on what to expect for version 3.

If there is a list of people contributing to the evolution of electronic music, like an ‘electronic music hall of fame’, then this man definitely will be on it! Monsieur Jean-Michel Jarre! Especially his first albums were, to me personally, a revolution, an epiphany, an instant love for electronic music. Maybe even one of the reasons I ended up here at Gearjunkies. These sounds from these electronic boxes were just … awesome! Sounds I never had heart before.

Next version for Five12 Numerology released

As far as we know it is a first. Instead of the other way round, Bleep!BOX is now available as a VST plugin. Originally released as an app for iPhone and iPad, this drum synth is coming to your desktop (PC and MAC). Now you can take presets you’ve made on your iPhone or iPad and load them up in your host sequencer of choice on your Mac or PC with full access to all parameters.
M-Audio New Product – Coming January 13th 2011
M-Audio started teasing a new product which they will reveal at the coming NAMM 2011, on january 13th. We did have some detailed pictures and specs posted, … however Avid asked us kindly to remove them. Even though this information has leaked onto the internet because of Avid’s own ‘information ditribution policies’, we met their request.
