Vestax’s new CD player: the CDX 05

However, the sound of digital media is often very different from the traditional analogue sound, making the transition between formats very noticeable. The new CDX-05 features a unique vinyl filter mode, which cleverly adjusts the eq settings to give the digital sound the warmth of vinyl. Now mixing between cd (mp3) tracks and vinyl tracks is even easier.

Just six months after introduction at the NAMM show in Anaheim, Mackie announced today that significant dealer shipments of the innovative Big Knob Studio Command System, as well as the Onyx 1220 and 1620 Premium Analog Mixers, are underway. These products will be available for purchase at Mackie dealers in the United States and Europe by mid June. Dealer shipments of the larger Onyx 1640 are scheduled to begin in July 2004.

TC Electronic ships Dynamic EQ, the new mixing and mastering plug-in exclusive to the PowerCore platform. This new EQ tool offers up to four definable bands, which can work in static or dynamic mode, or in a combination of both. The new FS “Scratch” record is designed specifically for Hip-Hop and Scratch DJ’s. The record is designed to allow visual cueing of songs and needle dropping while using FinalScratch®. One side of the record features 15 minutes of continuous time code with a crossover spacer in the cut of the groove every minute.
