Yes, finally the guessing is over. The Denon MC3000 has been announced, introduced, you name it. We have known this controller since the past BPM Show, where an obscure, out of focus image had been leaked. More pictures have been released in the months after. Most surprising is the fact that Denon has lost the DN prefix. So we can present you the MC3000 DJ Controller.
Something for the Weekend: Live electronica: rozz3r – Waiting for a Storm
Finally I found something nice for another “Something For The Weekend” post again. Thanks to the Dave Smith Twitter feed I came across this really nice video of rozz3r doing a live ‘electronica’ jam. Watching and listening to “Waiting for a storm” I remembered why we originally started Gearjunkies. The love for analog gear (back in the day!). I love this because in this world where more and more is being replaced with software, there’s still time for some real fun.

Mixed In Key 5 – Gearjunkies Review
Recently I got my hands on Mixed In Key version 5. I knew the program of course by name and also by fame, but I never had used it before. So I was kinda curious what it was all about. If you have never heart of Mixed In Key, it is an analysis program to detect information like the key and bpm of audio files. With this information DJs can elevate their mixes to higher levels because of ‘harmonic mixing‘. DJs can match tracks better or select tracks that are (more) compatible with eachother (key wise).
