Five12 Numerology 2.2 Released
Five12 today announces the release of Numerology 2.2 for Mac OS X. New features in this release include a Pitch Glide feature for easily adding pitch bends to monophonic sequences, a speech synthesis option, and direct support for Volta from MOTU and SilentWay from ExpertSleepers. The Pitch Glide feature in Numerology’s MonoNote sequencing module allows you to easily add pitch bends to monophonic sequences. In addition to making it trivialy easy to build class acid basslines, Pitch Glide can be used for funk grooves, swirly synthesizer leads, extreme glissandos or just a little bend here and there.
Native Instruments releases four Individual piano emulations
Native Instruments today introduced the BERLIN, NEW YORK and VIENNA CONCERT GRAND as well as UPRIGHT PIANO, four software instruments that offer detailed reproductions of some of the world’s most revered pianos.
Spectrasonics releases Omnisphere Version 1.1
On the heels of the release of their epic new Trilian(r) Total Bass Module virtual instrument, Spectrasonics has announced the release of version 1.1 of their award-winning Omnisphere(r) Power Synth – featuring native 64-bit Windows support, core library integration with Trilian and more. The new v1.1 is also Mac and Windows 32-bit compatible. For users who have both virtual instruments, sounds from Trilian can now be opened inside Omnisphere – allowing deeper editing of the Trilian sounds, as well as the creation of layers and splits with both instruments’ sounds in the same environment. The Omnisphere v1.1 update is free to all Omnisphere users as a download from the Spectrasonics website.
Virtual Wurlitzer available from Mokafix Audio
Get back to a time when a new sound could only come from the design of a new hardware instrument. A time when musicians would spend time getting used to any new keyboard, adapt to its character. Mokafix introduces Blue Reeds, the virtual Wurlitzer.
Limited edition of the Akai MPC: the MPC2500SE
New Akai “Special Edition” MPC2500 released at the recent Music Fair in Japan (very similar to the MPC2500LE “Limited Edition” produced last year by Akai for Guitar Centre in the US, which was a limited run of 500 units), though the display is now blue (rather than green) and the gold, edition badge showing “XXX of 500” is replaced with a silver one which reads “MPC2500 Special Edition”. Other features include the DVD drive option included as standard as is the full 128MB of RAM.
First look: Vestax SPIN DJ Controller with algoriddim djay Software
Vestax has teamed up with software maker Algoriddim to produce an entry level all-in-one digital DJ controller, SPIN. This controller will be sold exlusively in Apple stores throughout the US and Canada: http://www.djay-software.com. We have no information if SPIN will be available Europe as well in the future.

Stanton introduces the M.207 DJ Scratch mixer
The M.207 is a two-channel scratch mixer perfect for the club and scratch DJ market, and marks Stanton’s re-entry into the scratch mixer market. Made of heavy gauge stamped steel with a sleek black and silver color scheme, the M.207 has the look and feel that reinforces this mixers high-quality, high-reliability design. The M.207 is not only reliable, it is also innovative. It includes a unique user interface for controlling effects, the FXGlide™.
The FXGlide is a continuous strip touch controller, utilizing the same innovative touch-slider technology that is used in Stanton’s DaScratch MIDI Controller. In addition to providing real-time performance capabilities, the FX control can also be automated in real-time. This allows the DJ to create a custom modulation of the FX parameter, and then have that play back instead of the normal sweeping FX.
Linplug news and updates
Keeping products running has always been Linplug’s priority, and so they are on a number of updates to come up during the last weeks of the year. Windows 7 and Mac OSX 10.6 keeps them busy, but they are confident to manage it. Linplug thanks their customers for the feedback and helping them on fixing bugs.
Kurzweil announces PC3LE6 performance controller
Kurzweil Music Systems is proud to announce that the PC3LE6, the first of the PC3LE product line, will be shipping this month. The much anticipated LE line includes the widely acclaimed sound set from the PC3, in addition to many of the PC3’s most popular features like Setup Mode, Song Mode and Quick Access Mode. The LE’s streamlined user interface has been designed to allow for a quick learning curve and unprecedented ease of use. This new, interactive U.I. provides a constant stream of useful information to players; move a controller and the LE will display the controller’s name, value and the parameter to which it’s been assigned. (Example – Knob 5: 43 Reverb Wet/Dry).
Vestax announces DJAY software dedicated controller

TeamDNR releases Synplantation Volume 1 for Sonic Charge Synplant
TeamDNR Collaborative Designs announces the release of Synplantation Volume 1 for Sonic Charge Synplant, which is a package of 32 unique and usable sounds, as well as a bank of the same sounds with all FX removed.
This first volume focuses on punchy basses, dynamic plucked/emulative sounds, and dark, emotive pads.
MUTEC ships from now on the new MC-7
MUTEC from Germany, manufacturer of professional digital audio and video equipment, now ships the new MC-7, a Word Clock distribution amplifier and audio clock converter.
