Cycling74 announces MODE for windows
Cycling ’74, a software company based in San Francisco, today announced Mode for Windows. This popular package of native audio processing plug-ins will be available on Windows XP for host applications supporting the VST and RTAS formats. The package features three instruments and two effects units that integrate functions and performance controls typically found in rack-mount and workstation hardware. An additional 18 plug-in “submodules” extend the package with creative effects, parameter modulators and CPU-saving mini-instruments.

Doepfer releases organ masterkeyboard

Roland and Universal Audio announce alliance
Roland Corporation, a world leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of electronic musical instruments, professional audio equipment and Universal Audio, a manufacturer of high-quality vintage audio hardware and DSP software plug-ins for digital audio workstations, today announced a licensing agreement between their two companies. Under the terms of this agreement, Universal Audio will develop, market and sell plug-in emulations of classic Roland processors for UA’s popular UAD-1 DSP card.

Linplug updates Alpha with new look

Waves releases three new reverbs
Waves have released IR-1 V.2 of their convolution reverb IR1, and two new variants : the IRL, a simpler and less CPU-intensive LIGHT version, and the IR360, which offers reverb convolution in 5.1 surround.
UREI is back
Mixing console giant Soundcraft has reintroduced the UREI name on a range of DJ Mixers designed for both the traditional House market and the Turntablist performance sector.
The UREI legend was born in the 1970’s with the 1620, a rotary-based mixer for the House mixing sector, making its reputation for great sound and smooth control initially on the New York scene, at the heart of the control centre that was Larry Levan’s DJ booth at The Paradise Garage.
