Cosmic Gate participate in Pioneer DJ ART MIX project
Nic Chagall and Bossi are thrilled to announce that they will be taking part in Pioneer’s new DJ Art Mix project. Based on the company’s celebrated CDJ-2000 Nexus model, the duo will work alongside renowned German urban illustrator Norm/ab_artig to custom design a unique Cosmic Gate CDJ player. In a special month-long online auction, commencing mid-October, music and art fans will be able to place bids on Cosmic Gate’s and other participating DJs media players, with all proceeds channelled to VH1’s Save The Music Foundation.
PreSonus introduces RC 500 Channel Strip
PreSonus today unveiled the RC 500, a top-of-the-line channel strip for professional recording engineers and recording musicians. The RC 500 combines an ultra-low-distortion, high-gain, solid-state Class A preamplifier with the same custom-designed FET compressor and semi-parametric EQ circuitry found in the highly lauded PreSonus ADL 700 tube channel strip. The result is consistent, transparent, detailed audio, suitable for a wide variety of applications, and reminiscent of classic, vintage solid-state preamp designs.
Reloop RMX-80 Digital now available
At the past MusikMesse in Frankfurt Reloop already introduced us to their RMX-80 Digital DJ Mixer. With this mixer Reloop would be attempting to take on the market leader (for club mixers) at that point. Warm Audio TB12 Tone Beast – Gearjunkies Review
The Tone Beast is the flagship tone shaping discrete pre-amp model of Warm Audio. To me its orange color implies that it would be a guitar effect unit but it’s actually a pre-amp with benefits. The front does have a pre-amp section with a mic and a 1/4″ input. Including phantom power, hi-z, pad, phase and hpf (@80Hz) options. The Tone control section has a discrete amp selector, impedance switch, transistor bypass switch and a transistor selector. The output section has pots for gain and saturation. The backside has balanced TRS and 1/4″ ins/outs as well as receive/send 1/4″ ins/out to use it as an insert effect.
