This is a post we have never written before. But we felt we had to. So here it goes. One of our professional relations is Sonia Akow from Push PR. Today we got the terrible news that Sonia is very ill. Sonia received bad news in November 2012 when doctors diagnosed her with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). Sonia is currently undergoing chemotherapy and needs a blood stem cell transplant. This is where you can help save Sonia’s life. New MOOG Synth announced for NAMM 2013
Well! This is interesting news we didn’t really expected. But, MOOG is coming with a new synth which will be introduced at the coming NAMM. The video below has just been posted on Youtube where Herb Deutsch tells us more about this exciting new product from our friends at MOOG Music.
Something For The Weekend: Turbo Studio Sessions Volume 1
Yes, another very cool post in our SFTW series. Especially for all you gearfreaks, vintage lovers, hardware bosses, a.k.a. ‘gearjunkies’. Turbo just started a video series which probably be a series that is fun to watch for all the demographic groups we mentioned before! Turbo (Recordings) blows the mysteries of high-end studio production wide open with the first installment of its new Studio Sessions video series, featuring Munich superproducer Zombie Nation.
Two Rupert Neve 500 Series Modules Announced
For the 2013 NAMM show, Rupert Neve Designs is announcing two new 500 Series modules: the 511 Mic Pre with Silk, and the 542 True Tape Emulator with Texture. As two of the only 500 Series modules actually designed by Mr. Rupert Neve, the 511 and 542 combine the classic tone and versatility expected from a Rupert Neve design with the form factor and value of the 500 Series format.
Novation Launchkey – Integrated Instrument with DAW Control
Launchkey is a next generation instrument for computer and iPad with 16 velocity-sensitive multi-colour launch pads capable of playing drums and triggering loops in the brand new Launchpad iPad app, as well as launching clips and scenes in Ableton Live. It is a fully featured DAW control surface with over 50 physical controls (34 on the 25 key version). Launchkey also comes with two Novation plug-in soft synths: the V-Station and the Bass Station.
New Rack version Kemper Profiling Amp announced

Neumann KH 310 A monitors announced
At the past AES in San Francisco Neumann presented the three-way monitor KH 310 A active monitors. The KH 310 is designed for use as a near-field monitor, as a front loudspeaker in mid-sized multi-channel system, or as a rear loudspeaker in a larger multi-channel system. It can be used in project, music, broadcast centers, OB vans, and post production studios for tracking, mixing, and mastering.
The Transceiver – New Insert Station from TK Audio
The Transceiver is a four channel universal interface between balanced and unbalanced gear. Each channel has a send level and a 0-20dB gain for the returns. A polarity switch is also provided on the return channels. The main function is to convert +4dB balanced signals to unbalanced and back again or the other way around. Each channel has a send level, the return has a gain control and a polarity switch.

Behringer X32 Digital Mix Console – Gearjunkies Review
Behringer announced the X32 last year as ‘The Game Changer‘. This is quite the bold statement to be honest, … and is this statement correct? Well, let us be the judge of that. The behringer X32 is a digital mixing console and midi controller. This studio and live mixing console has full digital control with some stunning specifications. Just to name a few: 32 analog inputs, 16 mix busses, 8 DCA groups, 32 IN and 32 audio OUT USB/FireWire audio interface, color display, Mackie HUI Midi controller, LCD and LED VU meters (per channel), virtual effect racks with 8 stereo slots, and on and on!
Pioneer XDJ-Aero – Gearjunkies Review
When Pioneer introduced the CDJ-2000nexus last month there was a lot of fuss in the DJ World. Namely the Sync feature stirred up a lot of heated discussions. But there was more, the fact that the new Industry Standard had the ability to connect wirelessly with devices containing RekordBox gave room for discussion. But when the Pioneer XDJ-AERO was announced a couple of months before, everybody thought that this unit had such great possibilities. Everone was excited about the way of wireless connectivity with IOS and ANDROID devices and the sync feature. So, isn’t that what the Nexus brings us too? At the introduction of the XDJ-Aero we got excited about its features and wanted to test the AERO ourselves.
