Novation just introduced their Launch Pad S controller for Ableton Live. Launchpad S is the evolution of Novation’s best-selling Launchpad 64-button grid music controller — with much brighter buttons, significantly faster refresh rate and it supports multiple software.
Roland introduces not one but three new keyboards: FP-50, FP-80 and BK-9
Today Roland introduced not one, as we were expecting but three keyboards. After they were teasing us with videos we were expecting just one new instrument. Via Roland Connect they now show us the new BK-9, FP-80 and FP-50.
Pioneer WeCai cable for connecting DDJ-WeGO/ERGO to iPad
Pioneer’s popular WeGO and ERGO controllers are now even more portable, with the release of the WeCAi cable – allowing DJs to use the WeGO/ERGO’s tactile controls to mix and mash up tracks on their iPads. The WeCAi cable lets aspiring DJs connect to Algoriddim’s djay app to access music direct from their iTunes library, or get to grips with video mixing using Algorridim’s vjay app.

And what is that from Allen & Heath?
Yes, the season of ‘teasement‘ has started. Roland is already hard at work with their teaser videos. And now Allen & Heath joins the club. They just posted this video below in which they introduce some kind of controller/mixer. The first thought that pops into mind is that nice looking design. Furthermore we see motorized faders and a color display. The name would be “Qu” if we are correct. We will know more on april 10th when everything will be revealed.
Roland is back! More details on the new synth, workstation?
Like we posted before, last week, Roland will be introducing a new instrument on april 4th. Looking at the video it is fair to say, … a keyboard (duh)! There is a (Dutch) preview website where you can sign up for more information when it will be released on the 4th of april. Information that is available (details from the video) tells us it will be a member of the BK series and pretty much a 76 keys version. Other details are the drawbars and the USB option. Next to part 1 they now show us a little bit more about the new synth, keyboard, workstation?

Did we see an interesting Kickstarter project on the Don Buchla documentary earlier today, now there’s another interesting project and a first as far as we know, a crowd funding project for a DJ Mix album. UK based International DJ & Producer Dave Seaman is looking for funding to make the very first crowd funded DJ Mix compilation album.

Don Buchla is a legendary instrument maker whose inventions were part of the greatest musical transformation of the 20th century. His pioneering work laid the basis for what electronic music was to become by creating a unique analog synthesizer which completely changed the way people think about, compose, and perform music. The list of musicians and composers who have used the Buchla range from avant-garde composer Morton Subotnick to Nine Inch Nails, with plenty more along the way. Don hasn’t stopped inventing since the arrival of the Buchla, and his other instruments combine an idiosyncratic sound with a sense of wonder and theatrical magic.
