New plug-ins for Receptor
Muse Research has announced new plug-ins on Receptor, all of which were shown running on Receptor at Musikmesse. Available immediately is Ultra Analog VA-1 from Applied Acoustics Systems, with Lounge Lizard EP-3 and String Studio VS-1 to follow shortly. Also available now is Synthogys Ivory. From Nomad Factory, the Blue Tubes Bundle, Essential Studio Suite and Rock Amp Legends will all be available on Receptor soon. And finally, Garritan Jazz & Big Band, Best Service Chris Hein Horns and East West Stormdrum will all have installers released on Plugorama soon.

MusikMesse 2006 – New Gear round up
So what was new at the MusikMesse of this year? It must be said that this edition of the MusikMesse didn’t introduce as many new gear as the 2005 edition did. The only product that really ‘took the cake’ was undoubtedly the new Moog. For weeks and months there was the buzz on the internet what Moog would come with, … the Little Phatty. It was the last product the late and great Boob Moog worked on.
Next to the Phatty there was the new KORE from Native Instruments. Again with an extensive pre-Messe publicity coverage, the Kore got unveiled at the MusikMesse after being announced at the WinterNAMM earlier this year in Anaheim, USA.
The list below covers just a small selection of the gear that we think were the most interesting, and stood out the most.
Cakewalk updates Dimension synth with Mactel support
Just like earlier with the Rapture update Cakewalk announces a free update for Dimension Pro software synthesizer for Mac and PC. The Dimension Pro 1.2 Update will be available early April 2006 as a free download to registered Dimension Pro customers.
