Steinberg Studio Case 2 is hitting the stores
Steinberg announced today that Studio Case II, its new budget music production package, is shipping to its resellers worldwide. Studio Case II is a combination of Cubase SE3, Steinbergs new entry level music production software, with SE versions of six high quality VST instruments. Available for both PC and Macintosh computers, Studio Case II provides a full set of upgradeable, entry-level music production software.

Roland releases Audio Recorder CD-2
Roland recently released the CD-2. Whether your goal is to record audio and make CDs to present a performance or composition for evaluation, to advance your playing skills with the help of High Tech learning tools, to preserve and archive important audio, or to capture unforgettable moments like concerts or public events, the CD-2 will do the job quickly and simply and with professional quality results. The CD-2 records directly to CD or onto popular CompactFlash media (up to 2 GB capacity) for hours of recording time. Once recorded, audio can be edited, processed, and burned to CD.
Steinberg gives Nuendo a 3.1. update
Steinberg is pleased to announce that the update to version 3.1 of its Nuendo Media Production System is now available. Nuendo 3.1. includes new features targeted at professionals in post and audio production. The free Nuendo 3.1. update offers a variety of new features which are mainly targeted at post production for film and television. Lunar Module – a light Theremin midi controller
The Lunar Module is an experimental midi controller. Plug it into any synth, keyboard or drum machine with midi input to create sounds not before possible. The controls are photocells which allows the user to control sounds like a Theremin, ( a light Theremin). You use your hands to adjust the amount of light or shadow that reaches each photocell.
