After a long wait after its announcement Urs Heckman (U-He) has released version 2.0 of Zebra. Zebra is a next generation virtual synthesizer plugin. It combines subtractive and additive synthesis with a powerful modulation engine that even smoothly integrates with the built-in effects section.

reKon audio today, announces the release of their VST Virus A Editor 1.1 for Mac and PC. The VST Virus A Editor is reKon audios third product offering and offers advanced control of the Access Virus A synthesizer. Soon, reKon audio will be releasing versions for the Virus B and C models, which will also support the Virus Rack and Rack XL models. Demos will be available soon.

Following on the heels of the full featured Stereo and Surround Monitoring Controllers MTC 2381 and SMC 2489, SPL has introduced at this years Frankfurt Musikmesse two new completely analog volume controllers, which, true to their stated function, are dedicated solely to level control. The Volume2 model is intended for stereo applications, while the Volume8 can control up to 8 channels. Both devices are designed with active switching to circumvent inevitable disadvantages of passive circuitries that result in impedance variation and therefore degraded linearity in frequency response.

SM Pro Audio releases ADDA192-S Converter

SM Pro Audio will be showing the ADDA 192-S, their new stereo 24-bit converter at AES 2006. The ADDA 192-S is a two-channel, 24-bit, 192-kHz AD/DA converter. The ADDA 192-S has been designed to suit a range of duties including professional studio recording, field recording, audio mastering, and broadcast applications.
